Tomorrow at Sylvania Bowling Club, Shaun Dooley and Dave Watt will go head-to-head in The Long Game… a first-to-100-shots bowls challenge raising funds for prostate cancer research.
The bar opens from 10am, with live music from 12pm, a huge raffle with great prizes and plenty of fun games throughout the morning. Come down, watch the action, make a donation and help support an important cause.

Wednesday of this week saw the Club host “Christmas in July” and 50 bowlers showed up to partake in the festivities afterwards.
Bowlers from Sylvania, Caringbah, Gymea and Taren Point participated and certainly enjoyed the weather once it warmed up from the morning chill.
Many thanks to all the people who donated to the raffle and your attendance.
Money from the raffle will support Dools and Wattys efforts to raise funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer in the Long Game of bowls on Saturday, August1st at the Club.
Special thanks needs to go to Paul Nelson who initiated this function for 2026 before heading off to hospital to have is heart sorted out. Without Paul’s dedication and pushing for the event it would not have happened.
We are looking forward to topping these participation numbers on 1 August when the Club will welcome bowlers from Caringbah to play in some pennant trials before the State play offs in mid August for both Clubs.
