Can’t wait!

On Monday and Tuesday, four students from Sylvania High School, accompanied by Tim Porter and our club coaches, Lyndsay and Kay Makin, travelled to Club Merrylands Bowling to compete in the State Combined High Schools 3 Bowls Triples Championship Final.

Niko, Kai, Owen and Quinn performed exceptionally well finishing 6th out of 16 teams in a highly competitive field. Their campaign included impressive wins over Dubbo, Hornsby and Newcastle with losses to Yass in the opening round and unfortunately, to Wee Waa in the playoff.

Considering that most of their opponents were regular club bowlers, this was an outstanding achievement. Their strong performance provides great confidence heading into the Bowls NSW Schools Challenge later this year where each team is limited to just one registered club bowler.

Congratulations to Niko, Kai, Owen and Quinn on a fantastic result, and thank you to Tim Porter, Lyndsay and Kay Makin for their support and coaching throughout the event. We look forward to following the team's progress in the upcoming Schools Challenge.

Socceroos Vs Paraguay live on the big screen at 12pm today!

The final of the graded Triples between Mike Newton, Ben Whittaker and Grant Schuberg and Ross Robson, Alistair Daly and Craig Scott will be played this Saturday 27th June, commencing at 12:30pm.

With all six bowlers in excellent form, this promises to be a close and entertaining contest right to the final end. So come on down, enjoy a drink or some lunch and a great game of bowls!

📢Also, for those members with 'pennants points' still on their cards, you need to use them by 30/6/26. Any unused points after this date will be forfeited.

Good luck to both teams.

🌸 Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea Success! 🌸

Recently, one of our wonderful bowling members, Margaret Daly, hosted a number of Australia’s Biggest Morning Teas across several of our bowls days.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members and guests through raffle ticket sales and donations, Margaret raised $1,767 for a very worthy cause.

A highlight of the fundraising was a raffle featuring beautiful Swarovski jewellery pieces valued at over $700, generously donated by Robyn McKenzie.

While the funds raised are incredibly important, the conversations shared throughout these mornings were just as valuable. Discussions around cancer awareness and regular health checks, helped shine a light on an issue that affects so many.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated prizes, baked cakes, purchased raffle tickets or made a donation. Special thanks to Margaret Daly for organising these wonderful events and Robyn McKenzie for her generous donation and support.
