We had some of the Sylvania Heights Football Club players stopped by after their games on Sunday for a cold beverage and some lunch. The players were wearing their casual club shirts with Sylvania Bowling Club on the front as a proud new sponsor! We had the wonderful children from Chantel’s Kindergarten- Sylvania & Menai Sylvania visit us last week. It is great to see children being educated on the meaning behind Anzac Day and encouraging them to take part in their own ceremony of remembrance. Join us for our Anzac Day Service April 25th at 9:30am while we remember the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women. Sylvania Bowling Club will be running the service with Councillor Haris Strangas. We will have Vice President of SBC Dave Watt, President of the Womens Bowling Club, Robyn Mackenzie, ex-service woman from the Royal Australian Navy Sacha Woodman and Captain Arsenia Gatziastras and Prefect Tenisha Cole from Sylvania High, laying wreaths.
The main bar will open from 9am with $3 drinks. JD’s Bistro will be open from 9am serving coffee and bacon and egg rolls.
